Which e-mail client do you use? I used these steps to fix my e-mail:

For Microsoft Outlook, I had to change my settings to allow image downloads to get rid of this problem. If you use Microsoft Outlook , just go to your email...click on TOOLS>OPTIONS>SECURITY> and where it says DOWNLOAD IMAGES...uncheck the box that says Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail. Then click Apply, and OK. You will now be able to view images in messages!

Janet, you need to copy and paste the picture into your email instead of attach it.

This sends the whole picture to your recipient. If you insert (attach) the picture and their computer doesn't have access to the original, they will get red X.

Try opening up your picture program, highlight the picture, copy it, then paste it into your email.

Some email programs automate this by giving you the option to insert Picture instead of File
