They tend to do better at the state level thus far, due to the fact that the national political scene is heavily biased against 3rd parties. We have 2 self-professed Libertarians in my state senate, and 3 more running this year.

The Libertarians are most sucessful in NH, which they choose for their free state project. The idea is that since they don't really get elected anywhere except to minor positions that they would get 5000 people to move to New Hampshire to mass their political power. This was a few years back. Since then 429 people have actually moved there according to their website.

The Libertarian Party sticks to its principles, so given that the two major parties don't actually have any, that makes us number one.

abysmal, they don't have money and their support is minuscule and once elected they are sabotaged by the mainstream parties, who always outnumber them.
