He just thinks it makes him look cool and modern. Every girl likes a tough guy and a leather jacket/coat/blazer is popular for tough guys.

I think he started the look to appear older and adapt that 'bad boy' attitude, since he has that baby face, and wanted to star in action movies. Now it's become his 'trademark' look.
