140 / 95

Normal blood pressure is 120 / 80

It should not be higher than that. Even slightly elevated BP can be dangerous.

The more you're worried about it, the higher you BP will go.

120/80 is a NORMAL BP. This doesn't mean it's YOUR normal BP.

Blood pressure goals tell us what the ideal blood pressure is for most people. But they may not be right for everyone. Your doctor will work with you to set your blood pressure goal.

Look at your symptoms instead of just your BP. If you are feeling kind of funny, head to your doctor. If not, just scedule an appointment and ask the questions as to WHEN you should worry for your body.

A standard high range before going to the doctor is 180/110 mm Hg or higher. Anything lower than that and it's high, but you're not in danger.

Your Blood pressure's normal is 120/60-70. I know they keep getting lower. If your diastolic pressure, that is the bottom number is consistently above 90. You need to let your physician know. Some non medical treatment of high blood pressure that WORKS is walking 30 minutes per day. If you chose to visit your doctor, he/she will want to see a trend meaning several blood pressures over that last two weeks taken with different activity levels and documented as to date, time of day and activity level. I hope this helps Lisa

Mine was 155/110 with chest pain and the nurse at work wanted to call an ambulance. I left, got some cheesecake and ate it while wasting time on the Internet. An hour later I went back and my BP was 110/78. Cheesecake and the Internet cure all woes.
