It just so happens the best area to live (in the U.S.), also happens to be the best area to live if you have committed a crime. California is a very lenient state; it took a considerable amount of years for legislators to promulgate "three strikes your out" bill. The majority of the population is also liberal, hence more forgiving and understanding. Realizing that people make mistakes, mistakes which do contribute to personal growth, they will probably be more accepting. They also offer a vast amount of opportunities. There are many companies, which target felons specifically for jobs. The companies are often run by prior convicts themselves, who understand the importance of a second, third, etc. chance. California also offers a picturesque landscape and aesthetic sights. Combined with a diverse population and varying sub-cultures, I contentiously argue that California is a superlative state. Some great cities/areas include San Francisco, San Diego, and parts of L.A. I hope I was of help and that you find fortune in your future endeavors.

I'm a British immigrant by the way, so native bias is not reflected in my assertion.

lot of judgmental ***** on here. !!! prison !!! hes obviously served his time. its funny how many people dont realize how easy it is to be in the same position. then they change their story. dont worry if your not a felon now one day you will be (unless you work in politics) . its also funny that the first thing they think is sex-crimes.....anyway my personal experience answer would be if you dont HAVE to tell them cause you no they wont check (fastfood, walmart exct.) don't tell them. if youve served your time then its nobody's business (right to privacy weather anyone agrees or not) government jobs deff. out of the question
