This is the episode where they track down the clown. Does anyone think that Supernatural copied the clown idea from Stephen King's IT?

Just because a clown was in the preview doesn't mean they are tracking a clown...If you watched last season you would realize that the demon they are chasing can take any form it wants to, even their father.

Well, sort of. But, really, it was about the demon DISGUISED as a clown. And so, the clown idea came from IT, because everyone was so creeped out by it. Technically, it's just another demon.

Yeah! I think they probably used "It" as the inspiration for this episode. I have to say...I am soooooooooo freaked out by clowns, I wasn't bothered by the plagiarism.
