Dr. McCoy. Get it? "Bones!"
Put a blue Starfleet uniform shirt on him (you can get cheap ones at costume houses or on the Web) like the kind McCoy wore. It's punny and subtle at the same time!

When I lived in my college dorm I had a cool skeleton that I used to dress up. Me & my friends would put sunglasses on it, and beer cans in its hand, butts hanging out its teeth. I called him Spencer. I'm sure you won't allow your son to do those things with his skeleton, but nonetheless, Spencer is a pretty cool name for a skeleton.
