Because June is such a popular wedding month and therefore honeymoons afterwards I have done several reservations in June. It is technically hurricane season from June - Nov. However June doesn't tend to be a very active month. It also can be and most likely will be very hot during this time. I myself thrive in the heat, so this really depends on you and how you will accept the weather if you go.

I would recommend going to either Negril, Ocho Rios or possibly the new Sandals in Whitehouse which is brand new from the ground up. Down side with Whitehouse is there are no there hotels or a town in that area. That might not be the place for you. I would highly suggest going through a travel agent because we can ask you several questions to match you with the right property that we think you will be most happy at.

Because it is hurricane season and especially because you are traveling internationally you should strongly consider travel insurance. Odds are you are not medically covered if something were to happen while you’re traveling. Most ins. companies don't cover you because not everyone travels internationally and it wouldn't be good if they did cover everyone for this because it would raise the premiums. Something to check into with your ins. company before you travel and please call more than once to verify the answer. Experience with my sister getting the incorrect answer and it really cost her a lot because of her getting wrong info from her ins. company as she was in a car accident in Costa Rica.

Either way Jamaica is a great choice. In case you don't already know as of Jan 8th 2007 it will be required to have a passport to travel anywhere in the Caribbean, Mexico, Europe, Bermuda, S. America and even Puerto Rico even though it is a US territory.

If there is anything I can do to help you with your travel arrangements feel free to email me and I can give you my contact information. No matter how you end up making your reservations I do hope you have a fantastic time in Jamaica Mon!

Hurricain season starts usually in August to November. It will be in the high 80's to the low 90's, with high humidity. It will be cooler close to the ocean. Do your self a favor and sample the psychedelic mushroomas and the Ganja you will forget about the heat.
