HPT CAME BACK POSITIVE BUT I GOT MY PERIOD... WHAT'Z GOING ON?

its too heavy for spotting. i have a light flow going on here... like the first day of your period.

How long have you had your period? You could bleed a little at implantation, and mistake it for a period. I had a 1 to 1 1/2 day "period" and had a bouncing baby boy 8 months later.
There is also the possibility of a miscarriage (sorry to bring it up!), if you bleed for more than a day or two call your doctor.

I had my period for 3 days a month for three months of my pregnancy,it can happen,a false positive on a hpt are very rare,you are more likely to get a false negative.

You may want to ask a doctor. There is a chance that the test was screwy or something like that.... Doctors are totally confidential as long as you are a certain age so go for it! If you are not careful and your doctor doesnt know you are having sex it could have major problems! Without being routinely checked and cared for, you could even develop cancer. I dont have a scientific explanation for what is going on, but that seems to be the best course of action.

Take another test in a few days (after your period is over). It's possible to have a false positive test, but the chances of a false positive is a lot lower than having a false negative.

You can still be pregnant and have a period or spotting sometimes for two months. Or the test can be a false-positive if you took it too soon or did not follow directions. Try it again in a month.

You could take another hpt or visit your doctor and let him test you. It is possible to have your period while your pregnant.

go get a blood test. Same thing happened to me a few months ago. I was totally excited, then the blood test came back negative and i was completely crushed. Good luck to you

Could b spotting see a doctor just in case i spotted and i was preg. its not unsual
