Yes, if that's what the Falkland Islanders want. However, what should happen now is the creation of a 100 year lease - Britain to lease the Falklands from Argentina - just like Hong Kong was leased from China - this gives the Falklanders time and future generations the knowledge and ability to adjust to belonging to Argentina. The Falklanders use the Argentinian facilities - i.e. hospitals, they are too far away to link to the Britain in any meaningful way - other than 'nationality'.

I think you're more likely to get the Falklands back than Spain is to get Gibraltar back. Both colonies will remain British so long as the people there wish to remain so, and while the Spaniards treat the Gibraltarians with contempt, Argentina is at least trying a charm offensive with the Falklanders. You may never succeed but it's a better strategy than Spain's.

Possession makes for a "finders/keepers" scenario there.
the residents of the Falklands are not interested in being part of Argentina, so the point is moot.
Argentina may want the islands, but the UK is not going to give them up
Argentina is run by Spanish-descended people who treated the indigenous Indian peoples of Argentina brutally, so you really can't play the "imperialist" card here.
Spain has probably the most heinous tradition regarding abuses of disadvantaged peoples of any former imperialist power.

Do you want another war?
Every country has a history of colonisation or invasion. The islands have changed hands over the centuries - with even the French claiming them back in the 1700's.
This site shows the history:

If you want to go back further in history & pursue this way of thinking - then all the Spanish should leave Argentina and return it to the remaining Inca people!
PS If Argentina does want to claim the islands, then let it be through diplomacy & not war - unless of course The Falkland Islands become independent…
Mr Davies (a Falklands councillor)
"There is no reason, in my opinion, why we could not seek full independence in the future."

The Lefties always complain that the Royal Family is a drain on the public purse. Why aren't they quite so vocal about the Falklands? They cost us untold millions to upkeep. And for what? A couple of rocks with a few people on them. Don't ask what the queen does for us...ask what the Falkland islanders do for us.

There will come a time (hopefully after I'm dead and buried) when this country will be on it's knees, being run by some bloody foreigner, who will just start selling land off to finance the influx of immigrants. It'll start with Gibralter, then move on to the Falklands, etc etc

I think you will find that all the people who live there are actually British, proud to be so and wish to remain so.
Should they, by some strange quirk of fate, decide that they would all rather be Argentinian in a free and fair vote, then I am sure we would honour their wish.
Yes we were an imperialist country my dear chap, we had the biggest empire the world has ever seen. That is why over 30% of the peoples on this planet speak English. I would like to think that all the members of our empire are now our friends and I am sure we would stand up and fight for their freedom without any hesitation, due to mutual respect and honour.
Regards to you too old son.

I suggest that the Argies can have their Malvinas, or whatever else they want to call them, and we'll have Argentina instead. That sounds fair to me.
