I would keep the food simple. Finger food, sausages, chips, pizza, goodies that your 6 year old likes. And for dessert, buns, cake, sweets. It is very easy to please 6 year olds. Have some good music playing and decorate with balloons. Organise a few games for afterwards. Pass the parcel, music statues, etc. Good luck!
