My wife and I are nudists, and have been for many years. What you saw was not all that uncommon. A bit out of place, perhaps, but really, what's the big deal? We've all got basically the same stuff underneath our clothes. I have done the occasional nude hike as well, both alone or with others who were nude. To do this, one usually needs to find a lesser-used trail, and pick a day that this trail would be used by fewer people...say a weekday in the spring or fall. Even so, you're likely to run into a few people. Most of those I have encountered while nude on the trail where more amused than anything else. I once got asked, "Did you lose a bet"? Hiking nude can be a very pleasant, freeing experience, and frankly, I recommend it if you can get away with it. Being nude nature just seems natural, and doing so in and of itself does not make you a sexual deviate. There is a huge difference between social nudity and sexual nudity.
