We do not. However as usual Americans make claim to something that they had no part of.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, Americans cannot invent anything, they're just good salesmen.

A Scottish (of course) engineer John Baird invented the television.

They could be right. As far as I know, the germans sent out the first TV broadcast for the public
