We do not. However as usual Americans make claim to something that they had no part of.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, Americans cannot invent anything, they're just good salesmen.
A Scottish (of course) engineer John Baird invented the television.
Three countries that are renown for their engineering brilliance:
Germany, Scotland and Canada. So that's why you are a little confused.

They could be right. As far as I know, the germans sent out the first TV broadcast for the public
