In the DVD extra there is a feature where some people are asked about how this movie somehow exposed a hoax pertaining to the book written by JT Taylor. I loved the movie i just can't connect with this "hoax".

Basically the writer, J T Leroy on whose book the film was based, was exposed as a fraud! He is not a young man, but an older lady and the story was all made up. Check out the link below to find out more info!
