My sympathies.

You have to find a place where you can clear your head. Anti-depressants don't work.

Don't make up. It don't work. Be selfish, think about your own needs. Can't help.

I agree with you that the system is all wrong, you are very brave for standing up for yourself and getting out, sorry it took you so long to get on your feet again through no fault of your own, we have a young woman on our street who was viciously beaten last Christmas and held hostage by her ex partner for more than 24 hours, he was arrested and eventually send down, he is now getting the best of everything for his crimes as well as counselling, she is still waiting to be rehoused in a different area so that when her ex partner comes out of prison in 3 months she will be away from the house and him, nothing much seems to be happening for her and she is now panicking big time, her offer from the council was bed and breakfast, not the sort of life you want to bring a child up in is it, is it any wonder a lot of women refuse to go for help, the help is never there when they need it.

I can understand why you would feel that way. There is a program with the government, you would go to your unemployment office actually, and apply for it. They will give you 3000.00 to move to another state. I know your family is there but maybe if you leave for a year or so then come back you will not have the same problem. Unless your abuser is the father of your children, Then it is a little complicated. Did you report it when you got stabbed? I hope this helps. my two cents worth

Very sorry to hear that. The world seem to be turned upside down. Keep pressing on for your rights. Try other places and see. reflects on the possile solutions. Fair help is waiting somewhere. All the best.

Contact victim support and womens aid, they offer all sorts of support for women in your position. You can also contact the council if you are still being hassled by your ex. They can offer you homeless accommodation as the refuge didn't seem to work for you.

Obviously the guy has mental problems, which does not help you.
Try the Salvation Army.
They are great in times of need, and you certainly fit into this catagory.

i feel really sorry for you chuk, there but for the grace of god i could have been in your shoes, as my last partner was abusive and violent. luckily for me, the police scared her off and hopefully she is now in prison. even so, i am terrified of getting involved with someone else, incase i have an even worse experience.

there should be stiffer sentences for abusers, and whatever else it takes to control these vile cowardly controlling monsters.
