Well, well. Why do we always blame the people in power first for things that we don't like. Like it or not, Bush was elected, not given power. A majority of our country decided that Bush was the right person for the job. Now, lesser of two evils or not, he is our president and will be until the end of term. I wish idiots would just shut up about iraq and terrorism and Katrina and FEMA. What about good stuff that's happening right now? NASDAQ is at record highs and blah blah blah. Let me know!

What we have hereee is a failure to properly connect actions and consequences. The founders knew that elected or annointed leaders are not free from their human flaws. And the only way to safeguard the nation was to limit the power of government.

Iraq, terrorism, Katrina and FEMA. All provide clear evidence that government is an clumsey tool at best, for solving problems. Now is becoming clear that the Repulican leadership has become ensnared in their own web of politically correct compassionate conservativism. When all the truth is known I think we'll find that the leaders failed to act on the knowledge about the misbehaving congressman because they were both afraid to lose power, and afraid to be branded as homophobes.

Just as Clinton was equally powerless to take decisive action against Bin Ladin.

Too much power has been concentrated in the hands of the Federal government. So much so that it really doesn't matter which party is in power, the culture of corruption will continue.

Well, well, well, is there another person in charge of this whole country? I did not vote for Bush, so, I can ***** and moan all I want. I cant wait til 2008 and throw a huge party. I dont think I will be jumping up and down over the NASDAQ anytime soon. How about all the jobs that are being terminated? Did you ever think that might be why the NASDAQ is doing better? All those big companies are cutting out money being paid for employees and its showing up as a plus for your dear NASDAQ. Hmmm, cant think of anymore good stuff.

Correction, Dow Jones at record highs.

That has been altered, so it's not a true composite of 30 original corporations going back 100 years.

Many or the original corporations have either gone out of business or merged with other corporations.

The NASDAQ is a less than half it's original high going back six years ago. The euphoria over Dot coms has died out.

Bush has used the national debt as the stimulus for his economic plan. So far, its' working, but one day, somebody is going to be asked to pay it back.

Don't look to the corporations to pay, they have bought our elected officaials and have found ways to use foreign investment schemes to avoid paying taxes.

The lowly worker keeps getting the shaft.

The real war that should be going on is the fight for living wages.

Instead, the people keep getting fed crap like you've enumerated.

I just read an article in Newsweek about the various aspects of the War against Iraq. According to this article we have a bunch of lame brains running it. Little Georgie is a real idiot. If you want to read this article it is in this weeks issue. The thing that rankles me is that we have had a simpleton in the White House when we could have had someone whose brain doesn't run in reverse all the time or doesn't operate at all. Rumsfeld is no better, he doesn't understand his job at all. We have these two idiots to thank for the countless deaths of American soldiers in Iraq. If we had no electoral college we would have ended up with Al Gore as President. What a relief that would have been.

Exactly . Well said . People want to stay on the imaginary gravy train they THINK they get from the democrats .Little do they know ( and why should they care ) that democrats always raise taxes-and do . Given everything our nation has endured , we are doing pretty darn good under President George W. Bush .

WELL...

YOUR QUESTION BEGINS WITH AN ERROR...

As I recall, Al Gore was elected by a majority of the people, but the election was handed to George Bush
by the Supreme Court. isn't that right? They didn't count
all the votes, remember. I guess you forgot that. My how easy it is to forget when you are having fun.

Okay, I am letting you know...

I don't think that the right methods are being used in Iraq and that is why we are having such a difficult time there.

Insurgents are coming into Iraq with weapons and explosives to utilize in making car bombs and roadside bombs. How many roadside bombs have we set for the insurgents in their homeland? How many car bombs have we rigged up in Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Jordan? Various Muslim Clerics send people out on holy wars against us. How many of our Muslim Clerics send people out on holy wars against the extremeists? NONE.

Fight Fire with FIRE. Don't bombard the enemy with dollar bills. Cut him into little pieces.

How many videos have you seen of osama and his cohorts on TV and the Internet? Are you telling me that George is incapable of putting the skids to their global voice? Gee... Isn't that just pitiful. He can send 150,000 Troops half way around the world, but cannot put a few servers off of the Internet, and shut down a few TV stations.

It's good for you that even if you have many idiots in your government you still stand high above other countries... unlike our country it's already poor and still many corrupt officials are corrupting our funds, government etc.... and by the way many people look at the mistakes of other person not on their bright side...

Ah, you see actually Bush wasn't elected the 1st time. Remember he lost the 1st election by half a million votes, but because of the archaic electoral vote system he was given the presidency.
