There have been a number of events known as "Black Fridays" in history. Usually, these events are devastating.
Some historians propose that the origin of the "Black Friday" was the simultaneous arrest of hundreds of Knights Templars on October 13, 1307 (Friday), to be later tortured into "admitting" heresy.
Today, the concept of Friday the 13th has been extended through the 'black Friday' concept to incorporate anything really bad that happens on a Friday. In history there have been a number of events that happened on a Friday and are known as Black Friday:

Well, Jesus Was Crucified on a friday, so every friday is considered an unlucky day already. The number 13 has always been considered unlucky.According to folklorists, there is no written evidence for a "Friday the 13th" superstition before the 19th century. In numerology, the number twelve is considered the number of completeness, as reflected in the twelve months of the year, twelve hours of the clock, twelve gods of Olympus, twelve tribes of Israel, twelve Apostles of Jesus, the 12 successors of Muhammad in Shia Islam, etc., whereas the number thirteen was considered irregular, transgressing this completeness. There is also a superstition, thought by some to derive from the Last Supper or a Norse myth, that having thirteen people seated at a table will result in the death of one of the diners.

It has to do with the catholic faith. A long time ago some of the people in the catholic faith started to doubt their behavior and faith. And so to regan the faith of all the people and set an example, the roman catholic church got all the people who where in doubt and had a massive slaughter(hanging) They told everyone this was gods wrath and this is why you need not loose faith. It hapened to be down on firday the 13th which is while the day is demed unlucky I know its messed up o.o
