Cheerleaders don't make anything from the team, it is all FREE. They make money on the side by doing other things such as appearances, calendars, ect...

Legend has it -- they make nothing. No s**t.

I think they try to trump it all up to being a volunteer/community service type-job, though, a job for which you would have to be extraordinarily "talented" and "qualified," of course. Supposedly the "prestiege" (and exposure) of being a Cowboy Cheerleader is compensation enough.

from what one told me very little..we had em come to the ship once when I was in the navy.... I cant remember the amount but I do remember it was less than a hundred a game..girls said the enjoyed cheering and were in it to make contacts in the entertainment world.....who cares they are purty...peace

very little, i don't remember the amount either but i do know i was astounded to find out how little it was. but they do get paid for endorsements and appearances (i'm old enough to remember their being on The Love Boat!!)
