For the most part no, there is no such thing as an honest politician. The ones that are honest cannot move beyond a low level municipal level position. Almost every major state or federal official got to the place where they are at by being a bit unscrupulous, and sacrificing any principles that he might have had.

What we as Americans should be looking for is not an honest politician, because that is unrealistic. Politics at a high position in the state or federal system lends itself to dishonesty. What we must assess is whether that politician’s dishonesty works to our collective detriment or our collective betterment.

Both parties lie an equal amount. I don't think lying is something that is held onto by either party more than the other. Frankly I am so sick and tired of all the back and forth banter between Republicans and Democrats that maybe this IS the time for an independent to finally win a strong seat in government! Maybe third parties will finally see their day come and people will realize that more of the same will simply be more of the same. I don't think you can say Democrats or Republicans lie more because they are both doing what they feel they have to (even if it is lying) to keep their jobs. The sad thing is that the blind people who claim to be Republican or Democrat will still vote for the bloated liars because they fear change too much and are so enamoured by their belonging to a party that they are incapable of thinking for themselves and deciding who is best REGARDLESS of their political stance!

confident and No. i'm precisely a similar way. Brutally honest, and that's basically how i'm. Now that being suggested there are a number of stuff approximately her previous I do basically no longer desire to renowned. i do no longer desire to renowned what number diverse techniques she slept along with her ex boyfriend as an occasion. do no longer wanna comprehend. Brutal honesty or no longer this is only 1 thing i do no longer choose too comprehend. on the turn ingredient i do no longer tell her what number diverse techniques I slept with my ex the two. back, she does not desire to renowned. I do tell her each and every tiny little ingredient approximately my day, and actually I tell her if i do unlike some thing. as an occasion she dyed her hair black, i do no longer like it besides as her previous colour, I informed her that, yet I additionally informed her I nonetheless think of she's alluring. And particularly, it is the reality. I do think of she's alluring. the reality is which you're able to have the means to be honest ninety 9% of the time, and tell the guy you adore each and every thing ninety% of the time. (info approximately ex's no longer coated) I particularly think of my gf is incredible, and that i tell her so, and she or he's familiar with i think of it in spite of if she does not agree. it is the form of impact honesty could have. it could very much advance your courting.

You might think that a politician is dishonest because they forget that they are representing their constituents and once they are in power they don't govern, they dictate. As for who lies more? Who got us into an unnecessary war in Iraq by lying about weapons of mass destruction? George Bush and his cronies who are Republican. Who says the war is going well when 3,000 of our young people have been killed and thousands maimed? George Bush and his cronies. Who is cutting health care down to the bone and bragging that they are helping people? George Bush and his cronies. That is only a few examples that the Republican Administration are the most unbelievable liars and will go down in history as the worst administration ever. (Had to throw that in).

Yes, it is impossible for a politician to do everything they say they are going to do during an election. (No new taxes). Also they may have to lie to get policies in place (imminent threat). They also need to lie to make bad ideas look wise (mission accomplished) Also public opinion can change (stem cells) or campaign contributors can cause you to do things you said you wouldn't do. (blood for oil). I will never met an honest politician

I think that the politicians, all of them, make promises and tell you what they think you want to hear to get elected. Then they do not keep all their promises. I agree with you
