Give as much comfort as you can. Make the last days count! Tell them how much you love them and make sure you get your feelings across before its too late. Have fun and enjoy each others company while you can. Don't make the last days filled with grief and sorrow, because you'll have plenty of time to dwell on that later. Be a true friend and support them till the very end!

You don't give much background.
If he (she) has close family, of course you should respect their wishes;

Beyond that, though it might not be easy you should try to continue to be their friend. Be a good listener.

Get background information from other sources ... learn about the usual stages of dying ... rejection, begging and pleading, etc. (I think there are about five). The more you know, the better prepared you are to be a good listener,

If there is hope for recovery, help them to fight it; if there is "no hope", then "be there" for them, be a good listener, get what they want for them, do what they want as much as you can.

For yourself, have some persons you can talk with, get support, etc.

And if you have a Christian faith, don't hesitate to "share" it but don't always be forcing it on them. God does NOT always give us what we want when we want; He has promised that He will be WITH us. This is a "fallen world" and He has not promised us freedom from bad things in this life; He has promised us a glorious future BEYOND this life.

Hi there! Cheer up! Coz if you become sad, whatever you do to hide it, from your friend, would not work at all. So start being positive so that you can make him/her feels positive. Give your friend courage and hope to fight the cancer till the end. Don't treat him very politely just coz he/she has a chance to loose his/her life soon, let me explain, see when one is in the condition like your friend, he/she will appreciate his/her friends to be like the way they were always.
I can understand your feelings, believe me if you try the things I just told you to, you will find your friend cheerful then before. Be there for him/her in this crucial time coz good friends really make hard times pass away easily.
Get up! Shut your PC down and go to your friend, he/she needs you.
Praying for your friend :)

God Bless ^__^

JUST BE THERE FOR YOUR FRIEND, SPEND AS MUCH TIME AS YOU CAN WITH YOUR FRIEND, JUST DONT DWELL ON THE FACT THAT YOUR FRIEND IS DYING, MAKE EM LAUGH, SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH HIM-HER, GO SEE A MOVIE, GO TO DINNER, JUST TREAT THEM AS NORMAL. IF YOUR FRIEND IS IN A HOSPITAL & CANT GET OUT, TAKE A WALK OUTSIDE, EAT AT THE CAFETERIA, HAVE A GOOD CONVERSATION, & LAST BUT NOT LEAST, LET YOUR FRIEND KNOW THAT SHE/HE IS LOVED!!!

This is a really tough situation. You need to be there for your friend. You don't have to entertain him, just be there to support him. Help him clean, do laundry, fix him food. Listen to him when he talks about his death. Don't change the subject because he needs to express his mortality. Accept his decisions about his treatment - even if you don't agree with it. Simply be the best friend you know how to be.

You should be very supportive and caring. Help her(or him) out in anyway you can. Be there if she wants to talk. Its gotta be hard for you, but, in the end you will be glad you did everything you can to make things easier for your friend.

There is nothing u can do but be there for them...I had lung cancer and I survived.So I beleive u should always hope for the best and help her or him hope for the best. Believe that she or he is going to live......At least it will help them to believe.

Be there for your friend! That's the best thing you can do, let her know that you'll always be there for her. I know it's hard, but don't stop doing the things that you two have always done! :)
