what is a good social problem today that relates to one of Marx's theories?

i need to write a paper using one of Marx's theories and how it relates to a social problem in todays society.

all the corruption in the government, corporate corruption, and outrageous healthcare cost. The fact that illegal drugs that are suppose help you cost more than legal drugs that are designed to cure. Humanity is determined by it's financial wealth not potential.

Well, this isn't a "problem," because it's not "major news," but here's a bit on dna patenting.
Researchers have been isolating certain genes known to cause diseases, such as certain cancers, in order to find cures and treatments. The problem with this, in a capitalistic society, is that certain corporations own these genes, and only they can validly research them and come up with vaccines or pills. A few unknown researchers in a university laboratory cannot proceed with their findings, because there is a patent on the gene.
So, because of money, cures are put back for years.

Marx would completely disagree with this. I don't know the exact term, but it's against his theories.

The epidemic of stupidity on college campuses, as evinced by the belief the Marx's communism might actually work. Che shirts are everywhere, such that the sheer irony of that situation proves my point.
