just be a friend to this child, they go through so much, what a bonus for them to have you, you have the ability to make a difference in their lives, listen to their fears and reassure them, I commend you and all caregivers!

I'm not sure what you are asking - however, if what you are asking is who do you sit for......I'd say whoever you feel comfortable with. You are watching the child not the parents. If you end up having to have contact with the alternative parent, do not be judgemental - remember all divorces have 3 sides, the wifes, the husbands and the truth which lies somewhere in between.
