Some people use thier kids for an excuse for their problems and alot of them also use thier kids to take their frustrations out on and call it disapline. its not the kids fault that the parent cant keep a cool head and show them the right way to do things and it isnt the kids fault when the parents cant seem to stop producing them like rabbits and cant afford them. But since kids are small and defenseless its so much easier to take it out on the kids. I say in reality the blame could be placed on the parents of the parents of those kids since obviously those parents did teach the new parents just what really is involved in having a baby. Along time ago it was a good thing to have a bunch of kids since they helped on the farms but there arent many farms these days and not many people can grow their own food to feed all those mouths. Kids back then could also go to school without shoes since alot of them didnt have any. Today we have the kids wanting shoes that cost 100 dlls. Women also used cloth diapers and today disposible which cost a fortune. so if the parents did a better job of teaching the kids the value of money and just how much things cost their kids wouldnt grow up wanting to go out and have a bunch of kids then complain about it later.

As a parent I know (as you obviously do not) that the kids take priority over everything else. The kids take priority over everything else. THE KIDS TAKE PRIORITY OVER EVERYTHING ELSE. Your wants, your needs, your plans, your desires, your entire life is ruled by the one inescapable fact : the kids take priority over everything else. It's not an excuse, it's not an explanation, it's the central fact of every parent's life. Telling people to use protection and slow down their sex lives doesn't make any difference; if a person has one kid, that kid rules their existance. Period. End of story.

Too many Americans, in my opinion suffer from the syndrome that is taking too much credit and denying too much blame.

because it's easier to pawn off excuses onto a kid than to look like a jerk and have to admit the problem is yourself.

I agree with World Famous Neffer....you don't have them. Wait until you grow up and have kids of your own, then your mindset will change.

Because it's easier to clame things on someone else. And your kids arent going to call you out on it.
