I know it's possible--people sell it on etsy.com, which is all handmade goods. You might want to head over there and find some and ask the makers about it--Etsyians are nice and quite willing to teach!

If I were you I would leave makeup making to the pros. I doubt you could get a good result from grinding rocks at home. Eventually that's what mineral makeup is, ground up rocks.
