"i don't know how to swim" said fish. Why will a fish say so?

if a man says i don't know how to walk, it maybe a effect of low-self esteem, deepression, low confidence and etc, But why do you think a fish said so?

because it was something that the fish had always done. the fish wasn't conscious of what it took to swim, and once he became aware of all that it took, he realized that he didn't really know it. his body did. if you try to do something consciously that you normally do unconsciously, like walking, it actually makes it more awkward. i guess this is what you mean.

The fish seems to be a little low on the self esteem scale. If he really can't swim then he must have been in the low end of the gene pool. Gene "pool"...haha

Anyway fish does not usually swim with head above water.

Or may be the fish never knew that it could swim though it was swimming all the time.

It does not really swim.. we say it does so because we swim, and therefore move about in or on water. For fish , it does not do anything to swim. We say we 'know' something only after we pass the stage of not knowing it.. self-awareness about what we know , what we do not know etc...
We did not have to say, I know how to breathe ! We never had to learn it to say so. It happens by itself.

Fish swim instinctivly. If a fish doesnt know how to swim, he has a birth defect, such as retardation. He will not survive to pass on his bad genes.
