The curse of Jim Thome, does it exist? Jim Thome played for the Indians back in the 90's and he went to the World Series twice, but the Indians never won. So, down the road, he went to the Phillies because he thought he had a better chance to go all the way, but since the NL doesn't have the DH, he had to play 1st base and he got injured. He was released after his 2nd year being there and he went to the Chicago White Sox. Last year, the White Sox won the World Series, and Jim Thome thought the team can go back to the World Series, but they got knocked out, so Jim is watching the playoffs from the comforts of his home. Please tell me what you think.

I don't believe in superstition or curses. Only weird people believe in it and I am not one of them.

Jim Thome was not released. He was traded to the White Sox for speedy centerfielder Aaron Rowand, now a Philadelphia favorite for his no apparent fear of death type of play.

Jim Thome is one of the nicest guys in baseball. If there is a curse, he doesnt deserve it.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to win back to back World Series? I wouldn't call it a curse at all - He was just finally with a winning team.

I don't think so. There are a lot of players who have never won a World Series.

No curse.
Things just haven't gone his way,
