Sue,

If you can determine if your Gas Dryer has a pilot light, then more than likely the "Thermocouple" device that makes sure there is a constant flame could be defective. A cheap part to replace. If your Gas Dryer has an "Electric Ignition" then another possibility could be that there is a large enough amount of lint buildup behind the normal filter that you clean after each load. Some model dryers have a sensor that detects such buildup to prevent a possible fire hazard in the duct system that takes the excess heat and lint from your dryer to outside your home. If you have your original book on your dryer it should at least show you the breakdown of how to access this area of your dryer. I hope these ideas give you some help and possibly lead to your concern. If they do not I would then at least contact Maytag Customer Service. They should at least be able to guide you in the most likely causes of problems you are experiencing based on your model number. Good Luck.

make particular there is particularly gasoline flowing to the dryer, the line could have become plugged while the gasoline replaced into off, if there is not any gasoline source it won't warmth. different than that ascertain you have reset your placing on the dryer to a warmth placing. If neither are those are the subject it is somewhat helpful to to contemplate calling a repairman into seem at it. frequently it won't injury the unit working it without gasoline, it basically won't warmth up. I did this while i offered a house and the gasoline replaced into no longer grew to become directly to the dryer for a minimum of a week.

it only stays on long enough to heat up the dryer to a specific temperature then turns off so it won't over heat. it's the thermostat. If it's not getting hot then you have a problem. or it could be what "design ideas" said. ;-)

Make sure the lint screen is clean, and the vent hose, and check the vent on the outside to make sure its opening. It will kick the heat off if it doesnt have good airflow
