I have never had this happen before. I am clotting blood. My cramps are non-stop, (not painful but irritating). I usually wear tampons, but I actually had to use maxi-pads because the bleeding is so much. Should I be worried or is this just a heavy flow, something I have never had before except after childbirth. When or how long should I wait with the clotting, or excessive bleeding? Could this be like a miscarriage? I have never had one of those either.

You are just having a rough period. Clotting occurs as a normal thing when the menstrual flow is heavy, and it could be heavy for a number of normal reasons, such as stress, weight gain, diet change, etc :) I have this happen time to time as well. It can be very uncomfortable. If your period last over 7 days and continues like that, that is when you might consider speaking to your doctor. Otherwise I would say grab a heating pad and try to relax. I myself never use tampons because they actually worsen my cramps.

Check this site for some info on this type of cycle, and on symptoms to check for worsening. I would say you are just fine :)
