It is not a good idea. It is a knee-jerk reaction to the school shootings, and one not very well thought out. Only responsible and highly trained people, such as law enforcement, have any business being armed on a regular basis.

1) While the seemingly positive benefits of allowing school officials serve as an extra line of defense against disturbed people with weapons, said people would have to undergo such intensive training that it would be cost prohibitive.

2) Considering all the stress teachers face in the classroom everyday, it may not be wise to give them the added responsibiltiy to dertermine when lethal force is necessary in the volatile and chaotic atmosphere that typically surrounds a shooting.

3) Teachers and other school administrators are charged with protecting students first. Asking them to also carry weapons could confuse those roles.

This publicity stunt will never be made a law. Our (Wisconsin's) governor veto's concealed carry laws, and it will never make it to his desk regardless.

I am against the idea because it is entirely unnecessary. The rate of school shootings is so low, that such an extreme measure is not needed. It would be a large waste of tax money. It would also create an uncomfortable classroom setting.

No. I think that would increase the risk that a student or some other person, intent on killing or injuring others, would have easier access to weapons. It would be better to hire trained security officers or police officers and let them carry weapons, no one else. I think the Wisconsin lawmaker is giving in to a knee-jerk reaction. If he thinks it through he'll realize it could be more, not less, dangerous.

it really is sparkling that passing regulations gained't keep evil human beings from taking pictures innocuous human beings on college resources. CNN even admitted the guy in PA chosen his objective because of no safe practices. An armed monster will continually defeat an unarmed preserve. the only thanks to defeat stress is with better ideal firepower. at the same time as i became a baby I had acquaintances that delivered their rifles to college because they'd hunt on the way living house. We not in any respect had this mission. Having guns on the premises would easily deter monsters from doing such issues

I saw that on MS-LSD . A Wisconsin lawmaker named Lasee , who has apparently flipped his lid. . Evidence that the manure & fertilizer they are using down on the farm-is polluting the brain.
It will never work ; and would only bring more violence into the schools . It's not enough that teachers are having sex with the students-now we give them permission to shoot them , too ? I don't think so .

No, it's just an idea due to all of the school shootings that have been going on. Not a well thought out idea.

No, that is not the answer, but I don't like it that 20 mayors are trying to make gun controls tighter, when the largest deaths accure from traffic accidents and no one gets concerned about that

All Americans should carry guns, and shoot each other as often as possible.

That is too dangerous because it is based on the assumption that a teacher kind is sane.
