You mean the current war in Iraq? You want opinions? well your asking a lot .Here's mine . My understanding of the war is we (the US) are fighting terrorism by bringing the war to Iraq which was run by a unpopular evil dictator. The Bush administration figured that with Saddam's bad reputation around the world it would be an politically easy venture to go into Iraq help set up a friendly democratic government bringing peace and stability to the Mid East. Idealistic and faulty logic. For one thing the US in the process of defeating the Iraqi army killed many many thousands of innocent civilians. The military will point out that for war statistics this is relatively few. But this does give some apparent validation to our enemies. I know there is great good intentions by our troops there and many many good deeds by them go unreported . I am afraid despite good intentions that we are creating more terrorist than we are killing. I feel we should not have gone into Iraq but fear the chaos that would be the result if we left .Likely extreemist would end up in rule.

It is not a war so much as a rebellion against the US presence. That much ought to be clear by now. Regardless of what George Bush says, things are not getting better and the killing will go on like this indefinitely. So, what's the point of it all? No point. The money being wasted to stir up things in Iraq could be better spent in the US helping people who need it. It is as though George Bush has placed a greater importance on Iraqi people than people in the US, which to me is sort of backwards. The logic of what he keeps saying eludes me somehow.
Maybe I am just slow, or maybe God is not talking to me like he talks to Bush. Whatever it is, I am not getting it, but then, my name is not Haliburton.

It's retarted and we are having families find their loved one in a freakin' coffin. This war is pointless. My cousin is going back in a month or two and his wife. It's sad because they have like 3 kids together and imagine what it's like for a kid to not have NIETHER of their parents with them for like 6months or a year....it's ridiculous. But people are DYING out there and they keep sending more people over there.....pretty soon the whole freakin USA will be over there or killed. We've been at war for a couple years now and its pissin' me off. I don't know why they approved of this war but it breaks my heart to know someone is fighting out there right now for all of us and could possibly die. This makes no sense.

my opinion of the war is that it should have happen in the frist place many people don't understand that the reason we are there is because of the oil and gaining control over it it really does not have anything to do with peace if that the case why aren't we in other countries doing the same thing huh why/
