There is a group of people coming down from Kansas, to tell us Pa that the shooting is a punishment from God. This is totally wrong, if u live in Kansas tell your people NO don't do it..! It'll just give non christians to think that God punished people and doesn't help. This shooting WAS NOT from God, it is because of the sin in the world. I have MANY non christian family members and if these Kansas people come to PA and tell non christians this, i will never be able to get my family saved. Now i am only 13 years old. Do u think this is right?

No, we haven't heard. We are totally oblivious to all televison, radio, and newspapers. You are the only person on the entire planet who has heard about it.

I'm going to answer your question since you answered mine. I am an Agnostic, with a Christian heritage. I believe in God, but I don't believe it is possible for us to prove or disprove God's existence. Still, I believe that the massacre of children could NEVER be a punishment from God. What kind of a terrible God would that be? These innocent children did not deserve to die. Amish, in general, are very peaceful, religious and good people. It's a shame that some crazy person found them to be such an easy target.
If you believe in God and have strong beliefs, I hope it sustains you in life and gives you courage. I don't think you are responsible for "saving" anyone else. Each person's spiritual journey is a personal path and a private relationship between that person and God. If you believe there is something like salvation, you can only guide others by your own good works and good example, like a shining beacon of light. You can't force someone else to 'believe' the same as you. Also, at your age please do not internalize pain over the deaths of these children. Grab on to the positive.

If there were a God then these idiots from Kansas would all spontaneously explode right before they crossed the PA state line.

I have never heard of people from Kansas going to Pennsylvania to tell them that the shooting is because God is punishing them.

It should make you feel good for knowing that you have your own mind and can form your own opinions.

I totally agree with you, who are they to come and do that?
It has nothing to do with God. God gave us so much and it all has to do with what we do with it.
A lot of people in our society have major issues and instead of taking it on themselves or getting help, they attack the innocent. It's a shame isn't it?
Often it feels like there's nothing we can do about it, as if it's completely uncontrollable...
For the most part, there is nothing we can do about it. But see you're only 13 and you talk about it! You obviously are a very smart kid, and don't ever be afraid to tell your friends and family how you feel about certain things that affect you. Expressing your thoughts and opinions is very important, it's what makes you a strong and intelligent individual!
Don't listen to those people, they try to create conflicts and propaganda, and tell everyone who matters to you that they should do the same as you.. IGNORE THEM!

Good Luck, and never be afraid to speak up my friend ; )

Now, of course of heard of these shootings. I live around 50 miles away from where it happened. No one should believe what these Kansans are saying. The Amish from my town believe that what happened was God's will and they forgive the man who shot those poor girls.

Anyway, I will not let these maddened Kansans come to my pride and joy also known as Pennsylvania. They will never turn our citizens from God. For He is whom our beautiful state was built around.
