Sure, why not. Just 2 weeks ago I bought a long sleeve t-shirt from Hard Rock Cafe, with the tags still attached for $10. The tag had a 27.99 price on it!
I wouldn't buy much else though, and I'm just being honest, because of the following reasons:
Pants/Shorts: What if the previous owner didn't wear undies and they happen to have an STD like herpes or crabs?
Shirts: They mostly just seem to be "well worn".
Shoes: No way, gross, people sweat so bad in shoes, that's like wiping someone else's sweat all over your feet. (athlete's foot)
But I do like the belts, and the bags!

I shop at thrift stores all the time! They're the best place to get cool jewelry and shoes. I especially like the "vintage" section--some of the stuff is ridiculous, while there are some really cool pieces too. The best thing about thrift stores is the reasonable price; the other day I got a sweater, a flannel shirt and two necklaces for under $15.

Yep! I buy jeans, certain tops, a sweater once in awhile,
and a couple of times I bought a jacket. I make sure they are not stained or ripped, no broken zippers ect. I've donated a lot of clothes also. But personally I don't really appreciate the high price of todays clothes, though I still buy some of them. I have even found "thrift" stores that charge too much for what I want sometimes. I don't know, maybe I'm just cheap, but the dollar you earn, is for the clothes you "yearn!" hahaha! Did that answer your question?

Not all the clothes at a "second hand store" are second hand. Often they get contributions from stores that just want to get rid of item that they couldn't sell in their "drastically reduced" sale. Or when a clothing store is going out of business the second hand store bids on their remaining stock at a rock bottom price and put it on their shelves. I've bought some beautiful things that were brand new for a price that truly felt like stealing.

There is nothing wrong with buying from a second hand store. You can find some really cool things there! When I was in high school, I found the best fit levis for only $5 each. I bought three pairs! U can't go wrong there.

YES!! I love shopping at thrift stores. I find such nice clothes and such great prices! Although you have to go through racks of not so nice clothes to find one piece of great clothing, I still love it. I inspect it closely to make sure they are in great condition, I take them home and wash them. There are some rich people out there who wear their clothes once and give them away. I have even found clothes with the original store tags still on them!

Ew, no. I have never even been in a Walmart or Value Hut. I went into a Target once with my friend, but only to buy CDs. Never clothes. The only reason they can afford to sell clothes so cheap is because of the poor quality! I always buy new.

Hell yeah! I got a pair of really cool jeans from an op shop for $5, i also got my show jacket from there, i then customised it with glitter and gems.
Some pople buy cloths and only wear them once and then they go to op shop. Just make sure you wash them and keep your eye out for designer lables, (my freind got a billabong top from an op shop for $3, in store $55 bargain!)

I Have, I Do, and I will. I see it as recycling. But, I'm picky about what I buy. Americans throw out so many things that can be re-used, it saddens me. So, I buy clothes (not all of my clothes) at the second hand shops.
