I know everyone will be looking forward to their job of the 21st century making less money for working harder and longer hours with no health insurance and barely enough to live.

Thanks fascist turned government. Thanks.

What strikes me as odd is that Bush always touts himself as a businessman, and the education President, and yet all the jobs that require high levels of education are being shipped overseas under his watch. While third world countries like India and China are becoming first-rate countries as a result of increased US investment in jobs and infrastructures in those nations, jobs that require a college degree, especially in technology and business, are being siphoned from this country, off to nations who are the lowest bidder.

A college education used to impart hope to a potential college applicant or graduate of a 4 year degree program. There was an assurance, at least statistically, that your future would be much brighter professionally, and financially than your friend who went to a technical school, entered the work force directly out of high school, or submitted to a stint in the armed forces. Now that same Bachelor of Science doesn’t offer you the same opportunities or the better salary. How can you say you are the education President if you dissuade people from going to institutions for higher education because they know you have prostituted their jobs, that necessitate a higher education, to one of your foreign compatriots?

I wonder what is Bush’s concept of a stronger America. Will it be a polarized nation of wealthy elitists, who went to Harvard and Yale, being served by serfs in McDonalds and KFC, all of whom are armed with 4-year degrees from regular universities? I guess it will be nice to hear “would you like fries with that” in perfect grammatically correct English.

Bush the “education” President…yea…right! More like the Special Ed. President.

I cannot answer this question any better than Lawrence Louis. But I might add that the export of our jobs overseas is likely the greatest crime inflicted on this nation by the current administration. The rich get richer off the backs of cheap labor.
The Republicans have sold a bill of goods to the American public under the flag of morality. Middle-class Americans jumped on the conservative bandwagon based on issues like abortion and gay rights. With the banner of the moral majority, they have been able to pass their legislation which has been designed solely to allow the wealthy accumulate more wealth.
They tout their success as the stock market goes up from expanding bottom line profits of major corporations. Yet, the American wage earner's income declines and fewer Americans have health insurance. Domestic companies like Ford and GM, who cannot export labor, face bankruptcy simply because they cannot compete with the overseas labor market. When 149 Chinese workers can be hired for the cost on 1 American worker, the American wage earner cannot compete either.
90% of American IT jobs have been exported to India. 100% of American textile jobs went to China. And 50% of our manufacturing and engineering jobs crossed the border into Mexico. These countries have booming economies and growing wages. The wealth of the American middle class is slowing being drained.

Well you are going to have to send your thanks to Jimmy Carter on this one. That is when this all started. It only really got going in a major way during the Clinton Administration, so you will need to spread your thanks to them too. Have you ever considered doing any research before posting these quesitons?
