Hmmm... never thought about it before. I don't see any reason why not, they seem to be plentiful enough. However, they tend to be near humans and that wouldn't be a safe hunting ground.

No, somebody has to clean up the beaches and shoreline. the gulls do a very fine job. They are also neat to watch on windy days as they wheel and float on the wind.

"hunting" would normally we used for something that tries to avoid humans not one that seeks out humans to beg off of.

yes they are becomin too populous and rather annoying
i wouldnt hunt them for food though their diet is unhealthy

why? they are scavangers and keep the beach clean - besides, when you know what they eat - you certainly would not want to eat them!!
