This is a crazy car. Two problems here. Climate Control - Heat/heater fan on positions 1, 2 or 3 always runs high. Where is that control? It is on High Fan all the time even if on lowest setting.
Also, where is the idle control module located and what does it look like? Vehicle is fuel injected and it idles at 1,500 RPM and it should idle at 1,000 RPM. Only sometimes does it come down to 1,000 RPM. How to fix these problems? Thanks.

Those are crazy cars. I would highly recommend you taking it to a Saab dealer. You may cost yourself more $$ trying to do it yourself.

Go to a saab dealer or saab qualified repair center. Withe the idel thing, im pretty sure its not a problem with the idle fuel, have you tried lifting the gas pedal while in ide, because that was a problem in some 9000s.

crazy car's guarantee a crazy time...

i dont know about the switch.. i've never been a fan of air conditioning (pun unintended)

as for the iac, the solution might not be just a false valve reading. itn is more likely a vaccuum issue of a leak in the intake past the throttle. i would check the gaskets to make sure they aren't blown. also, i would check the egr pathways to make sure they aren't clogged or the egr valve isn't deteriorated.

the placement of the iac valve would be along the side of the throttle body. it looks like a motor sicking out of the throttle body, with wires running to it (go figure)

if you need any more help you can pm me with more details
