Is it true that female narcissists love their babies because they view them as part of themselves? Would a narcissist make a good mother for that reason?

No. Narcs consume everyone around them, including themselves. They have a magic touch of emptying and destroying everything they touch. They may posess a lot of material wealth, but they are always empty, always hungry, always consuming, even themselves.

All parents view their children as extensions of themselves not just someone with a narcissistic personality.

They'd be ok until the baby starts showing a little independence. I've known a couple of narcissistic mothers and they get worse and worse as the kids get older.

NO. you shoudnt be conceited and having a child. A child requires a mother who can look beyond herself.
I know my children have me and their fathers dna but they are their own persons
