It depends on the car that you have and the load in the back of the semi truck. Certain model cars can take impacts to the roof and wont crush. Lets say the semi has 50 beds its deliverying inside its trailor, id say youd survive. But lets say that same truck has 4 tons of sheet metal its transporting, that falling on top of you would be a major difference. Also realisticly for a semi to land completely sideways on top of ur car something very strong would have to hit it on the side like another semi truck that ran a red light but as long as ur moving and not standing still i wouldnt worry about it. i hope this helped u get over your fear, drive safe

Pretty much yes. The weight of the trailer is more than enough to crush the roof of a car. The good news is, this basically never happens. There is really nothing that makes a trailer tip except when they are going around corners WAY to fast. Even if all of the wheels on one side blew completely out (basically impossible) it would still not tip over. So really you have no reason to worry.

This has happen and it is a good idea to stay away from Semi or at lest not hang out in there blind spot.
I will not my daughter drive next to them for any amount of time, more to a blow out of a tire than a tip over. Stay a safe driver and remember even if you are right just do not be dead right.
Drive safe

The average truck weighs 15,000to 17,000 pounds and the average empty box trailer weighs about 15,500 and average unloaded flatbed weighs 9,000 to 11,000 pounds. Now put a load on these trailers and its leagal to gross 80,000 pounds.Yeah it will crush your car and kill you.But theres good news. It`s not that often a truck flips over on someone.:)

don't worry about it,you would probably have a better chance of getting struck by lightning on a clear day.besides, the average truck driver has better driving skills than most car drivers.

A loaded trailer can contain up to 48,000 lbs, so it would definately crush you when it is loaded but if it was empty, your car would be damaged but odds are good you wont.
