If you envision a lowing paying hamburger flipping job as a means to support a family you are out of your mind. As for a free ride from Uncle Sam, again you have a distorted view.
The welfare program was specifically designed to help the children of disadvantage families. It was not designed to give an adult person a free meal.
Most people remain poor because they prefer drugs or some other unsavory lifestyle. The problem with these people is that they procreate. And the children of these people are innocent victims of their parents sins.
People who are dedicated to raising their families will work two of your hamburger flipping jobs if they had to. Welfare is there to offer a hand up not a handout.

There is no such thing as a free ride thanks to Clinton passing the welfare reform bill of 1996 , officially titled the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996. As for hamburger flipping , it's as needed as any job particularly since major corporations take their tax cuts than leave the country with the good paying jobs . If a free ride were to exist , I then would prefer an American received it rather than toss our money so freely to other countries . But the system (welfare) has under gone drastic changes and no one grows up on in it as in years long past . The hamburger flippers as you put it and others who work for a menial wage are part of the backbone of this country just as any of the rest of us . If someone needs help they should get it because America is only as strong as our weakest link just as a chain or army . I hope you don't truly feel as your question may indicate because in reality all of us are only a major illness or accident away from poverty and some thought should be given to that . Thanks for the question and opportunity to answer .

Most people do not remain poor because of a drug habit. They remain poor because of the low paying jobs and HIGH COST health care out there (thanks to the republicans in office). There are many people out there trying d** hard to make a living wage to support their families not drug habits. They can't even afford health care and forgo a lot "to be able to survive" but how does one survive without health care? Get the Republicans Out-ASAP!!!!! PS Don't shop at Walmart either as THEY put the little guys out of business who are struggling to make a living. They (Walmart) also pay their employees very poor wages (Sams Club too) as opposed to Costco. Walmart sucks the life out out honest people trying to compete in their oen "mom & pop" stores!!!

Have you ever tried to support a family on hamburg flipping pay. I doubt it and these days there are plenty of repuglicans at the welfare office. Job moved away they usually say, but by God they are going to remain a repuglican.
