even 22 is a bit weird. I guess it depends on the cost of the house though.

Age 23. Some of reasons I was able to at that age, 1) a job that paid over $25,000 for three years,2) my husband was at a good paying job for over 5 years, and the land was given to me, (grandfather's land, collateral)
And that's how.

I was 19 when we first purchased our first home a condo, and then we sold that and bought our dream home with 2 acres when I was 22. The reason we could afford it because my hubby is 4 years older than me and had a really good job for his age.

I bought my first house at 22. It was a 2/2 condo in midtown Atlanta. If you can, save $$ now and wait for the housing market in the US to bottom out in the next year...then buy.

I was 36 but the reason I didn't get one sooner was because I was diagnosed with cancer when my third daughter was 6 weeks old. My husband and children had to move to another state to seek treatment for me and no one would give us a loan with cancer treatments going on. I had to be cancer free for 10 years and have a job for 2 in order for anyone to finance us.

29 and it was 89k and 4th was 380...you will never lose on property! Buy as soon as you are financially able to do. There was such a boom in the country in the last few years, that 4 years ago I bought an apartment for 100k and sold it for 550k after owning it for 4 years!
