It can occur at any time but is most common during the first trimester. It is kind of like your baby's way of telling you that they need food. I would always feel ill until I ate during my pregnancy. It is also a sign that your placenta has developed well.
Tips to ward if off are:
Do not lie down after eating
Do not skip meals
Do not cook or eat spicy food
Get plenty of rest and nap during the day
Avoid warm places (feeling hot adds to nausea)
Eat small meals often
Eat whatever you feel like eating, whenever you feel you can

RE:
Is it normal to get morning sickness near the end of pregnancy and not the beginning?
I was fine throughout my whole pregnancy up until almost a week ago. I am 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting sick when I eat, and my stomach feels sick even when I haven't eaten.

I am 28 weeks pregnant with twins and have had "all day" sickness for my entire pregnancy. It lessened a little in the second tri-mester but has increased greatly during this last couple weeks. My doctor said one reason is the babies are pushing on my stomach, activating the acids in there and literally pushing my food back up far enough to gag me. ( I know it is gross, but a lot of things with pregnancy is gross, lol ) The acids bring on the nausea feeling. He suggested really really small meals and using antacids, I also use phenagren when needed, also dehydration can lead to nausea so make sure you drink TONS of water. He said it is ia visious cycle, you get a little dehydrated, feel a little nausea, don't drink water, get more dehydrated, get sicker and on and on. I hope this helps. Good luck

I was very nauseated during my first trimester of my current pregnancy, but then it went away and I felt great! I'm in my third trimester now, and I'm starting to feel morning sickness again. I think it's the hormonal change that takes place in the third trimester that causes it. It's not as bad as it was a few months ago, but I wake up feeling sick every day.

Yes. Baby is taking up most of the room now, so your stomach doesn't have the capability of digesting all that food. Eat in small amounts, every couple of hours. Like in the first trimester.
Nausea is also one of the beginning signs that 1st stage of labor is near. This can begin as soon as 4 weeks before you are due. Your hormonal levels are changing to get ready for birth, your cervix is beginning to soften. If you're having any other signs of labor, such as contractions - talk to your OB.

I did. I had a "no problem" at all pregnancy (s) until the last couple of weeks, then sickness, fatigue, etc. kicked in. It's normal, some women experience it late, & that's ok. It just means Your body's preparing for the little one.

Morning sickness can strick anytime during your pregnancy. Morning, night, first or third trimester. It shouldn't be anything to worry about but you should always tell your doctor any new smptoms you have. Hang in there!
