No I wouldn't I hate when it rains especially if there is a thunderstorm I don't like the cold weather unless Im going to the snow. The summer is my favorite time of the year. It's peaceful, warm, clear blue skys...Yea I live in Southern California.

Hell Yeah !! I come from Wellington Point (Near Brisbane, Australia) and one of my favourite past times was sitting on the deck watching a thunderstorm roll on in over the ocean - And my favorite smell in the world is when it's a nice sunny day and that thunderstorm hits ......... beautiful !!

ya, i do it every summer when the "monsoon" season comes around. here in phoenix, especially this last season, we had some pretty fierce lightning shows, but beautiful. the thunder gets nice and loud, and the rain pours for about 5 minutes, but its a good downpour..sometimes if we are lucky it rains for more than 5 minutes. and it gets really windy and thats always a nice touch. i have to stand under my porch though because i fear the lightning will strike me(thats if theres lightning by our house)... when i was younger and stupid, my friends and i would go out and play in the rain and get soaked...i look back on that, and now i know was really idiotic, because we had a good chance of getting struck by lightning.

I think there great. When i was in Bulgaria in the summer. There was a huge thunder storm, bigger than id ever seen. I was swimming in the sea when it started and stayed there 4 a while, They i thought well i bet the water slides in my hotel are still on. So i ran up the steps again n again. It was well fun no one there but me and the crazy thunder and lightning.

If you are in a safe place, go for it. If your location is unsafe, the incredible beauty cannot justify the risk, given what lightning can do to the human body. I have seen some incredible lighting storms in the mountains, but I didn't move to a clearing for a better view.

Absolutely! What's the odds of dying anyway...it is SO worth the beauty of a thunderstorm, especially a summer one.

They are beautiful. I am sure you know the danger. I do stand out in them until the lightning seems to be getting a little close. However, people have been know to be struck by lightning from as far as 60 miles away..... good luck 8-)

No it is not safe to be out in the open when it is lightening. The lighting could strike you! But leaving that aside I don't mind a good rain either and enjoy listening to the rain especially when it is badly needed.
