I hear about not coloring your hair while you're pregnant, at least during the first trimester. Of course, it would be totally unethical to put a baby's life in danger by having a study about a potential teratogenic substance, so nobody's willing to say exactly what would happen if you colored your hair then. But it's just a general precaution--since they don't know one way or the other, then they're gonna say, "don't do it" just to cover their a$ses.
But the usual problems are irritation and allergies, just like with any topical substance. So do a patch test like the box says and don't use haircolor if you have broken skin or a rash or something like that. Plus, some kinds really stink, so have good ventilation around so you don't get in a sneezing fit and accidentally squirt some dye in your eye and blind yourself.

I think a danger is permanent color change even if the bottle says it won't and drying out your hair. Also, your hair might react differently to it and fall out. These are guesses though.

coloring dries out hair so use a specialized product for your hair after you color it, if you shampoo your hair durring the month or so you got it done, dont shampoo it alot or still shampoo it with specialized shampoo. and dont mix and match colors!!!! my friends sister did that, she didnt like herself in blonde hair and she couldnt wait fot it to fade, so she had to dye it pink to get it back to the normal color of her hair, and no the normal color of her hair wasnt pink it was brown.

I don't think you're suppost to do it when you are pregnant, but I don't know of any other reason that it would affect your health or anything. Just don't do it too much or it will like fry your hair or something...

None that I know of, unless you have a allergic reaction to it.
