Cranberry pills will help you prevent them. Don't drink the juice there is way to much sugar in it and that actually helps bacteria grow. Vitamin C in large amounts will help if you feel one coming on because it sterilizes your bladder. Bacteria that causes UTI's can double in fifteen minutes so make sure to drink plenty of water and use the bathroom regularily. As far as medications go, Macrobid is the common prescription though I have NEVER had success with it. Cipro is a good one, Floxin is another good one.

Antibiotics prescribed by licensed personnel, in other words you have to see a Doctor! Drink plenty of water in the meantime. Good Luck!
