Maybe you're looking in the wrong place. There is an explosion of different types of music going on, but I do know EXACTLY what you mean. I like blues-rock --- listen to Walter Trout's "I don't want my MTV" (correct title?) and HE agrees too!

I agree, I can't stand any music (except for a select few, like 2 artists) after the early 80s.
I really usually listen to 60s garage or 70s punk and that's mostly it. I have very limited tastes when it comes to music.

Not that I can't stand it everything in hip hop sounds the same. Not only that entertainers who aren't hip hop add it to there music.Which makes there music sound the same. Videos nothing but **** and *** in the middle of the day. I can't take all that sex on t.v. Its really to much I have a five year old niece at home. She can sing words to every song that comes on BET but can't recognize her ABC's. That is pitiful because I remember when I couldn't watch t.v. after school.

YES! I cant wait for this Emo fad to end. I swear to god there are hundreds of the same band out there and they cant stop whining about their girlfriend or their parents or how their privileged suburban life just isn't good enough. They talk about cutting themselves but none of them seem to have the balls to FINISH THE JOB and get your weak *** music off my radio!

Oh GOD--yes!! Hip-hop sounds like jumprope rhymes, R&B turns a simple word into a paragraph, pop is all the same, and almost ALL of it is rude, crude and overtly sexual.
Oh-did I mention monotonous??

Yes, but I am especially tired of the way the talent looks and their abilities (or lack of).
