can't get printer to obey command to print?

The printer originally said it was out of paper but when I cleared, it still wouldn't print. It seems unable to pick up the paper to print. It will, however make a copy. what can i be doing wrong?

Try turning it off and back on, then reinstall the printer driver.

It's not in your instruction, try to redownload r reinstall you printer drivers from your CD. if you dont have your printer drivers' CD, you can download them.
