No this is false. Your brain never sleeps. Some parts are less active during certains activities, but it never sleeps.

No. Both hemispheres of your brain are always active, and probably always involved in whatever you do.
Certain aspects of thought (such as decoding symbols, or following music) are primarily carried out in specialize areas of the brain that are in one hemisphere or the other.
The two hemispheres are always communicating with each other through the connections along the top, whose name I forget.
There's a lot of myth flying around about "right brain/left brain", but the reality is much more complex and interesting. It's another case where people took scientific knowledge and oversimplified and garbled it when communicating it to the general public.

no. It is not possible for you to use only one side of your brain. I have had a WADA test done: this is where they do put one side of your brain to sleep and you use only the other. Everyones brain works differently. In my case my right side opperates everything in my body except my speach. My left side operates my speach and memory. I have memory on both sides of my brain, which is very rare. The reason I had this test is because I wanted to have a surgery done to cut the blockage out that causes me to have seizures. I could not have that surgey done because the blockage is on my right side. So, if I would have got the surgery I would have taken the risk of becoming completely paralized. I got the VNS machine instead. VNS does not stop seizures, but helps control them.

No, that is not true at all. Both sides of your brain are always working. When you do certain things, specific areas of your brain are activated, but that doesn't mean that other parts stop working :)

i think the answer is no...coz the left side of ur brain controls all the parts of the body which are on the right side....and same is the case with the right side....n thus its possible for us to move our both hands together which makes both the part of the brain to work....
well i dont have much knowledge abt it but thats what i knew...

they both are at work all the time, for specific functions one part might be more active while the other one is not.
