I've noticed here in the states people still call electronic dance music "techno". Electronic music is perhaps the most misunderstood form of music on earth. I never use the phrase "Techno" because i always associate that with the classic dance music of the 90's like The Prodigy, Apotheosis, Two Bad Mice, Sunscreem, etc.
4 Strings- Diving, Turn It Around
ATB- Marrakesh, I Don't Wanna Stop, 9PM Till I Come
Dj Tiesto (rated world's greatest DJ by DJmagazine 3 years in a row)- Silence, Just Be
Chemical Brothers- Galvanize, Block Rockin' Beats
Fatboy Slim- The Rockefeller Skank, Slash Dot Dash. Weapon of Choice
Groove Armada- I See You Baby
Armand Van Helden- Hear My Name, My My My
Paul Van Dyk- Nothing But You, Crush
Oakenfold- Ready Steady Go, Hypnotized
Tenth Planet- Ghosts (rare but very very good)
Oxygen-Am I On Your Mind?
You should also look for any Ministry of Sound compilation for the best of each year. Preferably the annuals and clubber's guides often you can find electronic dance remixes of popular songs that aren't normally dance songs or songs that are in one genre like hip-hop radically changed such as Max Graham doing a remix of Yes' Owner of a Lonely Heart, or Toxic Revenger doing a dance mix of Boston's Long Time or remixes of Khia's My Neck My Back or the dance remix of Whoomp There It Is.

Anything By BT (Brian Transeau)he is American but has been influenced by the techno coming out of England.
ATB (Andre Tanneberger) very diverse sounds He is out of Germany!
Check out the Run Lola Run Soundtrack for more great stuff from Germany. It's hard to find, maybe E-Bay.
Of Course there's always Paul Van Dyke and Tiesto as well.
You just have to find the sound you like and keep your ears open for similar stuff. iTunes is great because you can sample the music first, same with the website called cafepress.com. Just go to music and look for techno, house, trance, electronica. You can sample songs here too. They mostly sell shirt designs , but have a lot of great music for sale as well!
Good Luck and Have Fun!!!
