For a woman it is. Most women who have tats on thier arms are tough as nails.

well, it all depends on what kind to get. for example, i was watching parental control before, and this kid had a tattoo of the words "sexy time" above you-know-what, anbd he also had his lip pierced. (his parents said oh god, when did he get that XD) a manly tattoo would not be no "sexy time", but perhaps a gigantic heart with the words "mom" it will look funny though, if he doesnt have a freakishly large arm to pull it off.

Usually but a woman could go for a scrolly feminine band on your bicep, something that looks elvish or mystical rather than manly. I wouldn't put anything else there though.

No, unless you are a girl, then it makes you look butch. A tattoo does not make the difference between who is a manly man and who is a wimp.

I personley think its better for a woman to get a tatoo on their lower back, or on their ancle. The arm on a woman doesnt really look great in my opinion, but thats just my opinion. Everyone has their likes and dislikes, so whatever works for you. Good luck...........p.s. Just a little advice... I don't recomend putting a guys name on yourself, though..... you may regret that later lol

I think it's a turnoff when a woman has a tattoo on her arm.

doesn't matter...upper or lower...arm tattoo is not very feminine. men i know don't like the arm tatoos on females. all in all do what makes you happy, but if you get a tatt, please get some where you can hide (future career opportunities). I have 3 (stomach, shoulder blade, butt cheek) ;-)

No, however, be very mindful of where you get a tattoo, because of future jobs, should place it somewhere that you can cover if need be. Good luck
