Perhaps you mean 23-5w-8y=0

This means that 8y = 23-5w

or

y=(23/8)-(5/8)w.

Thiis a line with slope -5/8 and y intercept 23/8.

its already simplified. you cant do anything else...

there are no like terms, so you cant combine anything, and there is no equal sign, or anything after it. so you cant subtract 23 from both sides.

I think that it is missing an = ??? If that is the problme then it is allready done there is no way to simplefie it any more!!!
