the computer that i'm transfering to is at my dad's house & the computer that i'm tranfering it from is at my mom's house.

transfer it onto a dvd or cd and then save it to your other computer. If the computers are close together you could also set up a network and transfer or share files. You could do this wirlessley also (more expensive).

Well the software you will probably have to download again. You need to create a local area network, wired or wireless. How to do that will depend on what systems you are using. Then you should be able to just move all of the music files at one time, then when you have itunes installed on the other computer you can just tell it where your music files are.
